Samson!? An Object Lesson

We continue in Judges 13 with the story of Samson. Samson compromised throughout his life and had to deal with the consequences of his actions.

Compromise is changing the question to fit the answer.

A compromising Church…
…preaches a less than Biblical Jesus
…alter God’s Word to make it less offensive
…bends the Biblical standard of morality so they can approve of the world’s beliefs and lifestyles

What kind of Jesus do you want? We’ll give you one. (2 Timothy 4:3)

Compromise causes…
1. Marry those you should not marry (Duet. 7:3-4)
2. Getting along with those you should not get along with (2 Chron. 19:2)
3. Livening under mastery of things God never intended
4. Blindness to danger, leads to sin

Why do we compromise? It’s easy. There might be a fear factor. We don’t understand the value of things. We’re impatient.

James 4:4-6, 2 Cor. 6:16
