Today we look at financing God’s work (Matt. 6:19-21). God knows that money is very close to OUR heart.

Why does God ask us to give?
-giving tames our selfish sin nature
-giving is an act of obedience
-my giving is my response to God’s giving to me (its a spiritual indicator)
-the part we give to God is the only part we save for eternity
-giving is a way to worship God
-giving is a way to meet needs
-giving is a way to start the praise chain for God

Methods:
-God’s people finance God’s work
-give on a regular basis, each one
-giving to God’s work is like giving to God himself
-we should give generously and be cheerful givers
