Types of Disciples

Disciples are MADE not born.

DISCIPLE A

• Spent time with Jesus
• Ran to find Him when He left
• Ate fully of what Jesus provided
• Obeyed His command to sit
• Were ‘satisfied’
• Recognized Jesus as the ‘Prophet’
• Wanted Jesus to be King

DISCIPLE B

• Didn’t realize Jesus could feed a crowd
• Afraid in a storm
• Had little faith
• Did not understand spiritual events
• Hearts were hard

Choices that Prove Discipleship

• Product, Performance or Person?  (25-26)
• Power or Presence?  (26, 21)
• Temporary or Permanent Benefits?  (27)
• Unbelief or Belief?  (28-36)
• Self Will or His Will?  (15, 16-17, 37-40)
• Reject or Accept?  (41-42)

What Disciples Ultimately Get

• Satisfaction   (35)
• Never Rejected   (36-37)
• Eternal Security   (38-39)
• Eternal Life   (40a)
• Glorified  (40b)
