Today we look at Jesus the Servant, from Isaiah 42:1-4. God wants us to know more than just His name!

-He was sustained by God (Ex. 17, Heb. 5:7-8)
-He was selected by God, the “chosen” one, the Messiah.
-He was spirit filled (Mt. 4:1, Rom. 8, Ps. 40, Heb. 10:8, Is. 50:5-6). Let us fix our eyes on Jesus.
-Jesus has sagacity, keen mental discernment, wisdom.
-He didn’t come to stir up trouble, He came to proclaim truth, with gentleness, kindness, sweetness… that was His style.
-He provided salvation to broken and bruised people. We are valuable to God. (Ps. 103, 147, Is. 40, Mt. 11)
-Jesus is steadfast and faithful.
