Today we’re going to look at James 1, and troubles and trials.

James 1:2…
-whenever, they happen all the time
-my brothers, they happen to even Christians (Ps. 73)
-trials, they come in many forms
-face, they can come suddenly
-consider it pure joy, this is how we should react (1 Peter 1:6-9)

God’s purpose in suffering:
-the testing of your faith develops maturity (2-4)
-the testing provides access to God’s wisdom (5-8), the question is not why, but what should I be learning.
-the testing gives us the opportunity to exercise or faith

Every good and perfect gift is from above (James 1:17). Trust God in your trials.
