Merciful Me?  – Matthew 5:7

Luke 10:30-37 (particularly verse 33) illustrates for us that mercy has four dimensions. Let’s think about this.

1. It sees needs
2. It responds with compassion or pity
3. It responds with a practical effort to relieve the distress
4. It acts even when the person in distress is an enemy

God’s Mercy

1. He is Merciful (Exodus 34:6)
2. He Dielights in Mercy (Micah 7:18)
3. His Mercy Overflows Into Our Lives (Psalm 86:5, Ephesians 2:4, Psalm 51:1)
