Water baptism is commanded by God and is a wonderful celebration of belonging. Though the Bible presents a clear picture of the what… whys… and hows of baptism, many are still confused.

Water baptism…
A. Pictures the death, burial and resurrection
1 Cor. 15:3-4, Rom. 1:6

B. Pictures my identification with Christ
Roman 6:3-6, Col. 2:12

C. Is by immersion
John 3:23, Matt. 3:6, Acts 8

D. Does not complete salvation (baptismal regeneration) nor does it have merit in the process of forgiving sins
Eph. 2:8-9, 1 Cor. 1:14-17

E. Is only for believers

F. Is the first step of obedience after salvation
Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:38,41, Acts 8, Acts 9:18, Acts 10, Acts 22:16
