This Week at HSBC

These are the announcements for May 6, 2012.

Backyard Bible Club Sign up
If you are interested in host or participating in the Backyard Bible Club please use the calendar in the foyer to select the week or weeks that you are available.  We need to choose the weeks and locations so we can begin to get flyers and mailing ordered.  Thank you.

Backyard Bible Clubs

Backyard Bible clubs are opportunities for our church body to connect with neighborhood parents and children through lessons, music, games, and friendship. They are hosted in the front or back yard of a church member’s home, targeting the kids that live in that area who are Kindergarten through 6th grade. Please pick up a informational flyer in the foyer. We will be having an informational meeting on Sunday, May 20 during Evening Worship.

Picture Frames
Pastor Wes is collection unwanted picture frames for a church art project. If you have frames that you no longer need or want, please share them with Pastor Wes.

Active Military
We want to gather information on any sons/daughters or residents who are active military for the military prayer sheet and bulletin board.  Please email or leave a note in the office with the information.

HSBC Lawn Care
It’s that time of year again. Volunteers are needed to help with the lawn care! Norman will keep the acreage mowed with the tractor, however help is needed with the push mowing and trimming. Each family is asked to sign up for one week over this summer. A sign-up sheet is available on the table in the foyer.

Church Council
Church Council will meet on Wednesday, May 9 at 8:15 pm.

Mother’s Day
Next Sunday is Mother’s Day!  There will be no evening worship service. Please enjoy this special family time.

Holiday Shores Yard Sale
We have become aware of a need at a nearby church in our association.  The Church is in need of clothes and food items. The Holiday Times will let the community know that they can drop off items after the yard sale here at the church on Saturday, June 2.  If someone is interested in being at the church to help receive the items and organize donations please let us know.
